Amongst the redwoods

Since our blog was just launched in January, so many lovely invites need a write up!  Case in point - this 4 color invitation for our dear friend, Marissa.  This design was inspired by the redwood grove where Marissa and Robbie got married last June.  The invite is letterpressed on 4 ply museum board, which allows for the 2-sides press.  The front is pressed in khaki, chocolate, papaya and gold.  the reverse in chocolate and khaki.  The entire invitation ensemble is lettered in hand calligraphy.  We used lots of color accents - a deep chocolate outer envelope, lined with bright papaya and return address pressed in gold.  The reply envelope was papaya with chocolate address pressed on the front.  The map card is full of detail and tiny icons representing a weekend full of activities for their guests.  We bound each set with a chocolate paper band, pressed with a gold frame and hand calligraphed with each guest's name.  The outer envelope was also calligraphed in gold.  We created a monogram that Marissa used through her entire wedding, including her day-of items.  Her menu, program and rose petal cones all feature the same colors as her invitation suite.  We even helped her plan bags with tags for out of town guests with a welcome letter and a box of snacks.
Everything  came together beautifully!  This wedding is in the Copper Willow hall of fame!
